What is a Gobo?
A gobo projector – also referred to as monogram lighting – is one of the latest trends for weddings and special events. In general terms, a gobo is an image that is projected onto a wall or dance floor, usually displaying the names of a bridal couple, wedding date, or monogram.
What is uplighting?
Uplighting is a popular lighting effect created by strategically placing lighting fixtures on the floor against the wall pointing them up. Thus creating the effect of "up lighting". Uplighting is a very effective way to dramatically improve the ambience of an event space.
The shoe/sign game is very popular with guests. It works like this: During your reception, after you’ve enjoyed some dinner, dancing, and drinks, place two chairs back-to-back on the dance floor for the bride and groom. Remove both of your shoes, then trade a shoe with your new spouse so that you’re holding one of each. Then, have the Dj wll ask a series of questions about the two of you and your relationship (i.e.. “Who will be doing most of the cooking?” "Who said 'I love you' first?"). After each question, hold up the shoe of the person you think is the best answer to the question.
Generation Dance: Dj will ask all married couples to the dance floor while playing a slow ballad. Then, at 1 minute interval ask couples to leave the dance floor beginning with married 5 years, then 10, 20 etc.. The last remaining couple will be acknowledged for the longest married couple. Sometimes a bouquet is given.
The money dance, dollar or auction dance is where your guests pay to dance briefly with the bride and groom.
